CMS Cameron McKenna

 London & Glasgow

I was contacted by Art Acumen who were aware of my previous work with Experian, and recommended me to their clients at CMS. They wanted several large scale artworks to fill the extensive wall spaces in the central areas, and required the potential for people to interact with the artwork from a distance, but also to engage with the detail close up. Therefore a bespoke photographic mosaic was a perfect solution. CMS were similarly keen to visually represent their status as a global company, and to create an artwork that was collaborative and inclusive. Their employees were asked to submit photographs that they felt represented the theme “Your World First”. This led to an exciting and diverse range of imagery from family portraits to safari holidays. The overall image was a bespoke design with the abstracted but iconic representation of the world as the key feature. The palette was influenced by the colour scheme of the interior design, and the ratio and scale was determined by the intended wall spaces.

At 11m x 2.7m this was physically the largest mosaic I have created. It was printed directly onto wallpaper and hung in situ. Once again the standard of the photography was very high, and the best submissions were shortlisted and judged. The successful images were then printed and mounted in various offices and conference rooms.
